WOUNT WARNING (Wollumbin) with 1156m es the remnant central plug of an ancient volcano. Wollumbin es a sacred place of great significance to the people of the Bundjalug Nation. It is a traditional place of cultural lore, initiation and spiritual education. On the sunrise 8.8km walk, we began our 4km climb through the giant trees of the rainforest, the last 400m were steep and rocky and we needed to use the chain to assist our climb. When we got to the summit relax and watch the sun gently warms the land. Once the sun had risen on the summit we could have a specular panoramic view. Then it was all down hill 4,4km back to the car park, on our way back our got a better view of the amazing rainforest.
Sin olvidar que nos levantamos a las 2a.m. Para comenzar a andar a las 4a.m y ver el primer rallo de sol a las 6:37a.m.
